American Islamic Outreach Foundation condemns in the strongest terms the heinous and cowardly attacks over the past few days in Paris, Beirut, Baghdad, and other parts of the world.
The evil perpetrators of these attacks intend to sow fear and hatred amongst people of different cultures, race, and religious faiths. The attacks are utterly inhumane and go against all teachings of Islam and of all other major faiths. The terrorists’ blood-thirsty, power hungry agenda is driven by greed and hatred, and their evil is indiscriminant, killing and injuring innocent people of all faiths and backgrounds, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
We pray for the victims and the families that have been affected by these tragedies, that the Almighty bless the deceased, and grant patience, perseverance, and strength to all those personally affected, especially the injured. We are one community, one nation, and one humanity. When one of us is hurting, we all come together to help and support each other.
The Quran says “Whoever kills an innocent person it is as if he has killed all of humanity” (5:32). It is a reminder for us to treat each life with dignity and respect, and also a reminder that no one can escape God’s justice.
American Islamic Outreach Foundation will continue to work to increase compassion, mutual respect, and understanding within our community. May God unite us to benefit humanity.
