Interfaith and Mosque Tour Potluck

Charlotte Humans for Positive Progress and the UNC Charlotte Muslim Student Association hosted a Charlotte Interfaith Community Potluck & Mosque tour event on Friday April 7th at Islamic Society of Greater Charlotte.

Speakers such as Imam Atif and Congresswomen Alma Adam’s Liaison Julia Lopez at the event discussed interfaith relations and diversity in the Charlotte community. All who had attended learnt about the Muslim faith.

American Islamic Outreach Foundation was there with a information table. Free Qurans and Free Literature were given away. Around 300 people come out and supported the Muslim community and interfaith relations. Many were very happy to see the community come together.

This was a great opportunity to meet fellow Muslims in Charlotte as well as many other faiths, and understand each other’s differences to become stronger as one united whole.
