Quran Mobile @ Hippie Fest

On Saturday, April 30th 2016, the Quran Mobile was at the Hippie Fest with a Information Table at the East Land Mall.

Mohammed Naji, a very dedicated volunteer handed out 150 Free English Qurans and almost 20 Free Spanish Qurans along with Free Islamic Brochures and Information.

1000’s of people gathered at the Hippie Fest. Many were very surprised to see the Quran Mobile and many gave thumbs up and were very thankful for the free information.

Many questions were asked about the truth, the difference between the Bible and Quran and Misconceptions about Islam.

With the positive support, American Islamic Outreach will try have a table at the Hippie fest again in the future.

Shifa Free Health Clinic

April 16th 2016

Once again with the dedicated support and mercy of Allah, the Shifa Clinic that was held on Saturday April 14th 2016 was a huge success!

We had our highest number of patients over 50 — a new record! Many patients were new comers. All patients were attended to by professional doctors and a pharmacist. The on-site lab service was received well. We were able to make progress on the new developments, such as the free medications as well. Our patients were very appreciative.

The clinic was operated out of MAS-Charlotte’s facility at 4301 Shamrock Drive. Raza Ulhaq, the director of the Shifa Clinic, arranged a well-run organized program.

This is a service which all of us can be proud and show our our commitment and support to our fellow Americans.

The next date is Saturday, 14th May 2016.

WALDENSIAN PRESBYTER

Waldensian Presbyterian Church, Valdese NC

Mohamed Haroon Sait, Director of American Islamic Outreach, was invited to host a presentation on Jesus in Islam. This took place at The Waldensian Presbyterian Church, Valdese NC.

Around 50 people attended the presentation. American Islamic Outreach members said the audience was very welcoming, attentive, pleasant and felt comfortable in Valdese.

The presentation had pointed out how Islam and Christianity had many similarities and how the Muslims also believe in Jesus and Mary. Many were surprised to learn that Mary is the only woman mentioned in the Quran and there is a whole chapter dedicated to her. Free Qurans and Free Islamic Literature was also given out was available to all.

Many questions were asked regarding how they can help as Americans to help spread the correct message about Jesus in Islam and Christianity.

This presentation has opened many doors of communication for American Islamic Outreach Foundation. We look forward to conducting more open discussions and presentations in the near future.

EASTLAND MALL 11/22/

The Islamic information booth was at the Eastland Mall Flea market once again. This time round the public was more intrigued towards the Booth. We have free brochures and books on Islam. Our dedicated volunteer answered questions about Jihad and Jesus. 27 English and Spanish Qurans were handed out.

So far the most productive and successful Islamic information booth AIO has ever arranged! Over 500 free Holy Qurans in English were handed out. We also had numerous people come by to get a henna tattoo and try on a hijab. The highlight of the day was; that two people embraced Islam!

In five hours about 175 Quran Translations were distributed. Over a hundred people came by our booth at the Festival to get free information about Islam, a free Henna Tattoo and even to try on a Hijab. AIO was there to spread better awareness and greater understanding in all aspects of Islam. To our surprise Charlotte Mayor, Jennifer Roberts also came by and spoke to our volunteers. She really liked the idea of our information booth.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

American Islamic Outreach reached out to Habitat for Humanity, Beth Reichert to extend a hand in helping out the community. Several volunteers came together and helped with the roof structure on a house that was being built. The experience was new to many of the helpers. They found it refreshing and grateful to give back to the community.
